Commissions for the promotion of employment are constantly operating in all districts of the region. They are headed, as a rule, by the chairmen of the district Councils of Deputies, which include representatives of various services, including social protection bodies. Meetings of the commissions are held at least twice a month. Now, due to the epidemiological situation, the work is often carried out online, and you can also get advice by phone.

For 9 months, about 7 thousand people applied to the commission, of which about 5 thousand confirmed their status as employed in the economy, Viktor Pranyuk noted. He stressed that the databases of the unemployed in the economy are formed quarterly on the basis of data coming from various sources (the social protection fund, statistics departments, educational institutions, and others) and are constantly adjusted.

About 1 thousand citizens who applied to the commission are employed. "The commission always has a list of available vacancies at hand, and often you can find out the contacts of an organization and an enterprise with a suitable offer right at the time of the request," Viktor Pranyuk said. He drew attention to the fact that the Grodno region is ready to employ everyone. 1.3 thousand unemployed people are registered in the region, while there are more than 9.7 thousand vacancies.

According to Viktor Pranyuk, the task number 1 in the work of such commissions is to help people find employment. One of the accents is on a special category of citizens. For example, since the beginning of the year, 60 people have been killed in fires in the Grodno region. Most of them led an antisocial lifestyle, abused alcohol, and the tragedy led to disregard for simple safety rules, such as smoking in bed.

"Now we want the commissions to take a more responsible approach to working with such people. It is necessary to meet with them, to help in re-socialization, and if necessary, in treatment, as well as to assist in employment, " Viktor Pranyuk said.

He added that the labor, employment and social protection authorities can help in retraining for popular specialties.
