“It took us a long time to implement the union program concerning regulation and emergency preparedness. However, I think that we have already reached the home stretch. In Belarus, all the bodies involved in the implementation of this program have agreed on it,” Olga Lugovskaya noted.

On the Russian side, the Emergencies Ministry acts as the coordinator. "There are positive signals that the process (approval. – BelTA`s note) is proceeding quite successfully. We hope that by the end of the year we will receive another powerful instrument of interaction," added the head of Gosatomnadzor.

According to Olga Lugovskaya, the main effect of this program will be not even funding, but the interaction of specialists who know the problem well from the inside.

“It is very important for us that this program takes place precisely in the context of our closest interaction within the framework of the Union State,” she concluded.
